One More Time

Well… If I have learned something about life it is this:

            You are either coming out of trial, in a trial, or about to begin one.

My father on the other hand has lived one for the past twenty years, but he never complains.  On December 10, Dad will have his second leg amputated just below the knee.  As many of you know, he had the first one done last year at about the same time.  In order for his quality of life to continue at a reasonable state, this operation must be done.

During our many long conversations, it is extremely clear that my father’s mindset is once again set to the highest level of determination.  He is truly an inspiration.  His confidence and faith in the Lord’s will has inspired me throughout my life, and with the inevitable future of no longer having his lower legs, he continues to be my hero, mentor and best friend.

We are asking everyone to please pray for him as he approaches the surgery and for his strong recovery after.  The fight will be difficult for our entire family, but we believe this is just the next bridge that needs crossing.  Thank you all for your continued love throughout the many years.  I truly believe the unwavering support has lifted the hopes and spirits of both my mother and father.  And as for myself, I am forever grateful to all the friends, family members, and acquaintances that have helped me along the difficult journey.

            “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
  In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust;
  I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? In God I have put my trust;
  I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
  For You have delivered my soul from death.
  Have You not kept my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?”

Psalm 56 3-4, 11, 13

Thank you all so much!
